REAL WEDDING: Karen Chou & Richard Lee, Chanel-inspired Modern Wedding at Montage Beverly Hills
Karen Chou and Richard Lee's Chanel-inspired modern wedding is beyond delectable. Held at the celebrated venue, Montage Beverly Hills, this couple’s love for modern architecture and the sophistication of Chanel, when combined together, created the end result of a drop dead gorgeous wedding! The groom’s background is in architecture, and the bride’s is in fashion. He loves modern/contemporary, and she loves glamour. Through the facilitation of The Special Day event planning and design company, Karen and Richard personalize their wedding theme of “Modern Glamour” and “Chanel-inspired” in fashionable and purposeful design concepts. Karen wore a lace and tulle Vera Wang bridal gown where she transformed her look from day to night. During the day, her dress featured an ivory sash with an off-centered bow at the waist; for the evening, an ornate rhinestone brooch upon a black sash. The couple’s signature wedding colors, black and ivory, were derived from the iconic fashion house of Chanel, with a touch of purple for sophistication and passion. Their outdoor ceremony included a black-and-ivory canopy accented with purple floral arrangements; and as the day carried out, guests were wowed by the couple’s “wish tree” (inspired by a fixture from a Chanel exhibit), the escort cards in framed mirrors, and the biggest show-stopper of them all, the head-table featuring stunning oversized paper flowers behind drapes uplit with glamorous lighting.
