REAL WEDDING: Ryan and Jen Valley, Vintage-inspired Garden Wedding shot by Kimberlee Miller Photography
With such an adorable proposal carefully planned by Ryan, their wedding was sure to be a hole in one! Ryan and Jen both love the game of golf, so on 10-10-10, at the 10th green of Trump National Golf Course, driving cart number 10, and at 10:10am, the magical question was popped. Ryan cleverly shared that with all of these 10’s surrounding them, the only 10 he was missing was Jen! How adorable is that? So it’s logical to assume Ryan and Jen’s wedding would be just as charming, and it certainly was! The couple selected Walnut Grove at Tierra Rejada Ranch in Moorpark, a real working farm on 120 acres with a babbling creek, towering eucalyptus trees, and 50 year-old walnut trees. With the help of Belle of the Ball Designs for both floral and vintage props and rentals, Jen’s vision of a vintage “Anthropologie-esque” wedding was wonderfully achieved. One of the biggest hits of all, the DIY project where Jen’s mother made an 8ft x 4ft sign that read the couple’s last name, Valley, and was lit with 1600 Christmas lights. As guests enjoyed the cocktail reception, they were intrigued with the illuminating display from afar, which later became their impromptu photo booth staged with a vintage couch.
